How agent payments are controlled
Autonomy with hard limits, not open-ended spend
- Every agent holds its own machine identity, spend cap and approval threshold — never a shared company card.
- Payments are metered per call or per task, settled in aggregated windows to keep execution cost below the value transferred.
- Agents are cryptographically attested before their first payment; unattested agents can quote but cannot be paid.
- Breaching a monthly cap refuses further calls automatically rather than escalating spend silently.
- Human approval is always required above the per-agent threshold, and every settlement is written to the same audit trail as human payments.
Agent payees inherit your treasury policy. Sherwood refuses any agent call that would breach a per-call limit, monthly cap or approval threshold.
